Huang Junping

Huang Junping serves at Peking University as Deputy Director of the Office of Discipline Development and Director of the Office of the Institute of Country and Region Studies. She is also founding editor and Deputy Director of the Editorial Office of the journal Universities and Disciplines. She holds a PhD and is an associate research fellow.

Huang Junping has long been engaged in graduate education and discipline administration. Previously, she was Director of the Academic Degree Office at PKU, Secretary-General of the Humanities and Sciences Working Committee of the Association of Chinese Graduate Education, and Deputy Secretary-General of the National Advisory Committee for Professional Degree in Journalism and Communication Education.

She has participated in the revision of national policy documents led by the Office of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, including those concerning the reform of degree-granting authorization and the Law of the People's Republic of China on Academic Degrees.

She has led and participated in multiple research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and provincial- and ministerial-level programs. She has published nearly 20 articles, including “Constructing an Endogenously-Driven Self-Evaluation System for Discipline Development” and “Exploration and Practice of Interdisciplinary Talent-Training Models,” and has served as a co-editor of academic monographs, such as Theoretical Exploration and Application on the Quality and Performance Evaluation of Graduate Education.
