Zhang Yanlong serves at Peking University as Assistant Director of the Institute of Country and Region Studies. He is also Associate Dean of Guanghua School of Management, PKU, and a Young Scholar under the Ministry of Education's “Chang Jiang Scholars Program.” He also serves as the Executive Director of the MBA Program at PKU’s Guanghua School of Management, and Vice Dean of the Academy of Development Strategy for National High-Tech Industrial Zones at PKU.

Zhang Yanlong received his BA and MA in Sociology from PKU in 2002 and 2005, respectively, and earned his PhD in Sociology from Duke University in 2012. His research interests include organization theory, corporate social responsibility, ESG, entrepreneurship, and social networks. He has published articles in leading management and sociology journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Organization Science, Strategic Management Journal, Academy of Management Annals, Journal of Business Venturing, and Social Networks, and was awarded the 15th “Li Yining Research Award.”
