Zhai Kun

Zhai Kun serves at Peking University as Deputy Director of the Institute of Area Studies and professor at the School of International Studies. He is also Vice President of China Society for Southeast Asian Studies and Vice President of China Society of Emerging Economies. His research focuses on Southeast Asia, the Belt and Road Initiative, international strategy and world politics. He teaches courses on the basic theories and methodology of area studies, politics, economy and diplomacy of Southeast Asia, theory and practice of China's international strategy, and the Belt and Road Initiative. His representative works include The Belt and Road Initiative Report on Five-Connective Index (2017) (Commercial Press 2018), Building a Community with a Shared Future for Youth under the Belt and Road Initiative (Commercial Press 2018), The Belt and Road: Case Studies & Risk Management (Ocean Press 2017), and Youth Dynamics, Perspective Diversity (Volume 1, World Affairs Press 2022).
