The 54th session of the “Adventus Amicorum” seminar series, hosted by the Institute of Area Studies, Peking University, convened on May 30, 2025. The keynote lecture, titled “Continuity and Rupture: The Remaking of American Political Thought after World War II,” was delivered by Prof. Samuel Moyn, a leading scholar in law and intellectual history at Yale University.

The 51th lecture of the “Adventus Amicorum” salon series was held on May 15, 2025, by the Institute of Area Studies, Peking University (PKUIAS), during which Prof. Anne Peters, director of the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law, Heidelberg (Germany), shared her thoughts on the topic, "The International Legal Order in Times of Turbulence.”

The 49th lecture of the "Adventus Amicorum" seminar series, organized by the Institute of Area Studies, Peking University (PKUIAS), was held on April 10, 2025.

The 47th lecture in the “Adventus Amicorum” series, titled “Europe’s Future and China’s Past,” was held by the Institute of Area Studies, Peking University (PKUIAS) on March 24, 2025. The lecture was given by Lorenzo Marsili, an Italian philosopher and social activist. PKU professors Wu Fei (Philosophy) and Duan Demin and Pang Liang (School of Government), and University of Kassel Professor You Mi (Art and Economies) participated in the discussion. The lecture was hosted by Prof. Zhang Yongle, deputy director of PKUIAS.
