On April 22, the twentieth lecture of the “Adventus Amicorum” seminar series, hosted by Institute of Area Studies Peking University (PKUIAS), was held in the No. 66 Yannanyuan.

On the occasion of the sixth anniversary of the Institute of Area Studies Peking University (PKUIAS), the Institute organized the Fourth Doctoral Student Forum on April 21, 2024.

The 19th lecture of the “Adventus Amicorum” salon series was held on April 19, 2024, by the Institute of Area Studies, Peking University (PKUIAS), at No. 66 Yannanyuan, during which Luis Eslava, a professor of international law at University of Kent, shared his thoughts on the topic, “Understanding the Global South: A Latin American Perspective.”

On April 12, the first lecture of the “Understanding the Global South” series, hosted by the Institute of Area Studies Peking University (PKUIAS), was held in Room C105 of the School of International Studies.

On April 8, 2024, the Institute of Area Studies, Peking University hosted a seminar titled “How Generation Z Youth Understand Themselves and the World,” marking the inaugural event of the “Generation Z” seminar series.

On April 1, the 6th lecture of the Master Salon series hosted by the Institute of Area Studies, Peking University (PKUIAS) was held in No. 66 Yannanyuan Building.

The 18th lecture of the Adventus Amicorum series was held on March 8, 2024 at Peking University (PKU). Co-hosted by PKU’s Institute of Area Studies, the Office of Humanities and Social Sciences, and the Institute of Social Science Surveys, the event featured Destry Damayanti, Senior Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia, as the distinguished speaker. Her address, titled "Synergy and Innovation for Indonesia's Economic Resilience and Revival," was warmly received by the audience.

The 11th lecture of the seminar series on “Autonomous Knowledge System Construction and New Perspectives in Area Studies,” themed “Transformation of Central and Eastern Europe and China’s Central and Eastern European Studies,” was held on December 29, 2023.

The 17th lecture of the "Adventus Amicorum" series, hosted by the Institute of Area Studies, Peking University (PKUIAS), was held online on December 28, 2023.

The 7th lecture of the Youth Salon of the Institute of Area Studies, Peking University (PKUIAS), entitled “Historical Imprints of Soviet Industrialization: Field Evidence Based on Kazakhstan and Armenia,” was held on December 22, 2023.
