On September 23, 2024, the 29th lecture in the “Adventus Amicorum” series was held by the Institute of Area Studies, Peking University (PKUIAS). The seminar invited Associate Professor Chin Yee Mun, chairperson of the Tun Tan Cheng Lock Centre for Social and Policy Studies (TCLC) at Tunku Abdul Rahman University (UTAR), Malaysia, to deliver a talk titled “Discussing the Declining Malaysian Chinese Population: The Endogenous Factors.” The seminar was moderated by Kong Tao, director of the Research Department at the China Social Science Survey Center of Peking University.

The ninth lecture in the Master Salon series of Peking University's Institute of Area Studies (PKUIAS), themed "Unprecedented Changes over the Century: The 'Synchronous Resonance' of Three Long Historical Cycles," was held on June 27.

The first session of the “The Kurdish Question from the Perspective of Regional Civilization” lecture series, themed “Great Changes over a Century and the Historical Transformation of the Kurdish Question” and sponsored by Peking University’s Institute of Area Studies (PKUIAS), was held on June 19

The third seminar of the “Understanding the Global South” series of Peking University’s Institute of Area Studies (PKUIAS) was held on June 11, 2024. At the seminar, Fei Haiting, assistant professor at PKU’s School of Government, gave a lecture titled “A Preliminary Exploration of the ‘Global South’ Concept in Russia”. The seminar was moderated by Prof. Zhai Kun, deputy director of PKUIAS, with the participation of Prof. Zhang Yongle, deputy director of PKUIAS; Feng Kaidong, associate professor at PKU’s School of Government; and Shi Yue, assistant professor at PKU’s School of Foreign Languages.

The 27th lecture of the "Adventus Amicorum" salon series was held on June 6, 2024 by Peking University's Institute of Area Studies (PKUIAS), during which Ntina Tzouvala, associate professor of International Law at Australian National University, shared her thoughts on the topic, "Sanctions, Dollar Hegemony, and the Unraveling of Third World Sovereignty."

On May 27, 2024, the Institute of Area Studies, Peking University (PKUIAS) held the second in the series of seminars on “How Generation Z Youth Understand Themselves and the World.”

The 8th lecture in the “Master Salon” series of Peking University’s Institute of Area Studies (PKUIAS), titled “Imagining the Contours of Asia,” was held on May 25.

The 26th lecture of the “Adventus Amicorum” salon series was held on May 24, 2024 by Peking University’s Institute of Area Studies (PKUIAS), during which Prof. Jean-Marc Coicaud, distinguished professor of Law and Global Affairs, Rutgers School of Law, New Jersey, and a fellow of Academia Europaea, shared his thoughts on the topic, “Globalization in Question and the Future of its Legitimacy.”

On May 21, 2024, the 25th lecture of the “Adventus Amicorum” seminar series was held at Peking University’s Institute of Area Studies (PKUIAS).
