The 26th lecture of the “Adventus Amicorum” salon series was held on May 24, 2024 by Peking University’s Institute of Area Studies (PKUIAS), during which Prof. Jean-Marc Coicaud, distinguished professor of Law and Global Affairs, Rutgers School of Law, New Jersey, and a fellow of Academia Europaea, shared his thoughts on the topic, “Globalization in Question and the Future of its Legitimacy.”

On May 21, 2024, the 25th lecture of the “Adventus Amicorum” seminar series was held at Peking University’s Institute of Area Studies (PKUIAS).

The 7th lecture in the “Master Salon” series of Peking University’s Institute of Area Studies (PKUIAS), titled “‘Zero-dollar shopping’: The representation of the future of global capitalism”, was held on May 17.

On May 6, the 24th lecture in the “Adventus Amicorum” series of seminars hosted by the Institute of Area Studies was held in the School of International Studies at Peking University. The keynote speaker was Yu Hong, a senior research fellow at the East Asian Institute of the National University of Singapore and editor-in-chief of East Asian Policy: An International Quarterly, a journal of East Asian policy research. He spoke on “China–Singapore Relations and Interpreting the State of Southeast Asia Report.”

On May 1, the 23rd lecture in the “Adventus Amicorum” series of seminars was hosted by the Institute of Area Studies, Peking University (PKUIAS).

The 21st lecture of the “Adventus Amicorum” salon series was held by the Institute of Area Studies Peking University (PKUIAS) on April 27, 2024. Scholars from several universities in Indonesia engaged in productive exchanges with representatives from China.

On April 25, the 22nd lecture in the “Adventus Amicorum” seminar series of the Institute of Area Studies, Peking University (PKUIAS) was held at No. 66 Yannanyuan.

On April 22, the twentieth lecture of the “Adventus Amicorum” seminar series, hosted by Institute of Area Studies Peking University (PKUIAS), was held in the No. 66 Yannanyuan.

On the occasion of the sixth anniversary of the Institute of Area Studies Peking University (PKUIAS), the Institute organized the Fourth Doctoral Student Forum on April 21, 2024.

The 19th lecture of the “Adventus Amicorum” salon series was held on April 19, 2024, by the Institute of Area Studies, Peking University (PKUIAS), at No. 66 Yannanyuan, during which Luis Eslava, a professor of international law at University of Kent, shared his thoughts on the topic, “Understanding the Global South: A Latin American Perspective.”
